This disclaimer sets out important limitations and conditions you must understand before using SponsorShield or acting on any of its outputs.
SponsorShield is not a government service
SponsorShield is an independent, privately operated fraud-risk screening tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), the Home Office, or any other UK government department or agency. Our results have no official legal status.
Nothing on this website, and nothing contained in any report generated by SponsorShield, constitutes legal advice. Our service provides risk assessment outputs based on automated document analysis.
If you have concerns about the legality of a document, a potential immigration fraud, or your rights and obligations under UK immigration law, you should seek advice from a qualified legal professional. We recommend consulting a solicitor or an adviser regulated by the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC).
Decisions about employment, visa applications, or immigration status should never be made solely on the basis of a SponsorShield report.
SponsorShield is operated by SponsorShield, a private company registered in England and Wales. We are entirely independent of the UK government.
We do not have access to UKVI's internal database of Certificate of Sponsorship records, and our checks are based on publicly available information and document pattern analysis — not official government verification.
If you need to officially verify a Certificate of Sponsorship, you should contact UKVI directly or seek assistance through official Home Office channels.
Our CoreFlux™ Risk Engine applies automated heuristic and pattern-based analysis to assess fraud-risk indicators in submitted documents. You should understand that:
SponsorShield makes no warranty or guarantee, express or implied, that all fraudulent documents will be detected by our service. Sophisticated document forgeries or novel fraud methods may not be identified by our automated analysis.
Our risk scores should be used as one layer of due diligence alongside other verification measures, such as contacting the stated sponsoring organisation directly, checking the UKVI Register of Licensed Sponsors, and seeking professional HR or legal advice.
By using SponsorShield, you acknowledge that:
If you believe you are a victim of fraud — including if you believe you have been issued a fraudulent Certificate of Sponsorship or have been charged money for one — you should report this immediately to the UK's national fraud and cybercrime reporting service.
Action Fraud is the UK's national reporting centre for fraud and cybercrime, run by the City of London Police.
